“The Monkey House in White Bear Lake is 5,000 square feet of pure fun and total awesomeness!”
So, you’ve been chasing your toddler/s around the house all morning, in the same path you always do after the morning feeding has commenced, except this time you just need to get them OUT of the house! ….or you’re going to lose your mind! You know that lunch and the highly anticipated afternoon nap are still a few hours away and your little monkeys are not showing any signs of slowing down. In fact, at this point, while you’ve been cleaning up the debris leftover from breakfast, your little ones have managed to completely destroy the remaining 1,500 square feet of living space in record time!
Never fear. I have a wonderful solution for you! How about a 5,000 square foot, completely indestructible and inflatable, bouncy-house haven that your kids will absolutely go nuts for! That’s exactly what the Monkey House in White Bear Lake is! The best part is there’s no cleanup (assuming your children haven’t actually destroyed the place) and the kiddos will be completely exhausted by the time you have to leave; primed and ready for lunch and a “personal best” napping marathon 😉 ….that’ll give you just enough time to get your own “monkey house” put back together!
So, how old does my monkey need to be to get in?
At the Monkey House in White Bear Lake there really aren’t any age restrictions, per se. –Insert Common Sense Here- My wife and I recently took our 22 month old daughter to the Monkey House and she handled herself just fine. In my parental opinion, any child under the age of 16 months or so would probably just be too small to navigate the giant bouncy houses and 18′ giant, inflatable slide but every parent has their own opinion on such matters, you’ll have to check it our for yourself! I do know that children under 1 year of age are FREE! (w/ a paid child admission) There’s a foam block pit that you could probably toss them in for a while….hahaha….jk…..well….kind of! For a complete list of some of the other rules & regulations just CLICK HERE!
How much does it cost to have all this fun anyways?
Relative to the sheer amount of fun and enjoyment you and your kiddos will have together, the cost is nominal, to say the least!!! It’s only $8.00 per child and parents get to play for free! (Parents, you actually have to bring your kid to get in free btw!) There is a limit of two FREE adults per child, so don’t plan on bringing the entire extended family and expect them to all get in for free 🙂 However, if you do want to bring the entire family for, let’s say, the BEST birthday party EVER then you’ve found the perfect place! The Monkey House in White Bear Lake has a large party room where they can host you or your child’s birthday party! The Monkey House in White Bear Lake is located at 1815 Buerkle Road in White Bear Lake, MN 55110, just north of the 694 and White Bear Ave. exit. You’ll want to exit on White Bear Ave. then take a left at the first stop light.
Head north until you get to Buerkle Rd. which is right on the north side of 694. (There’s an SuperAmerica gas station on your left & a brand new Cub grocery story that you can’t miss!) Take a left on Buerkle Rd. and just keep heading west for about half a mile. The building will be on your right. The building itself is mixed in with a bunch of other, more industrial complex style buildings so it’s a little tricky to find the first time.
*Insider Secret: Don’t forget to stop in at the world famous Grandma’s Bakery right down the road!!! Seriously, I think you can smell their apple pie and doughnuts from the Monkey House!
The moral of this story is….GO CHECK OUT THE MONKEY HOUSE! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 If you’re looking for a fun way to spend some time with the kiddos, while also draining them of every last ounce of energy they have, so they’ll take the best and longest nap ever, then this is definitely the place to go!
